2010 - Year Of The Tiger

Happy new year From all at Kyushinkai Martial Arts

2009 has been quite a year Lots of highs and some lows, for me personally with the loss of Father at the start of 2009 was devastating, and I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who supported me at that tough time, it helped me to remember how fortunate I am to have such great friends and family around me.
We’ve had the great privilege to host a plethora of fantastic seminars with some of the biggest names in modern martial arts, with such names as Ian freeman Mo Teague, Iain Abernethy, Master Sken, Ronnie Mann, Peter Consterdine, Brian Seabright, 2010 will see even more top class top ranked professional martial artists for our members to benefit from.

Twenty Ten will see Kyushinkai celebrate its 25th birthday, from its conception in 1985 that was when I decided to become a full time instructor, and I was the first to do so in the Telford area, starting out at Oakengate Sports centre, the club is still being run by top Sensei Steve Pike, from that first other 1st followed, 1st qualified traditional weapons classes, 1st all female martial arts class taught by a full time female black belt instructor, 1st full contact kickboxing club, 1st recognised self defence coach, 2009 saw the 1st full contact kickboxing show, 1st full time black belt professional brazilin jujitsu teacher, 1st to have a Mixed Martial Arts training program, 1st Dojo in Shropshire to host its own caged mixed martial arts events with both shows being massively Successful.

2010 is the year of the tiger which represents bravery and for each individual will be helped to face and master their fear, from passing a grading to entering and competing in the cage.

Our students have travelled the country to compete, train, teach, grade, win lose or draw, give blood sweat and tears, laughed till we cried, but most of all they never let me or the school down,

Because the students are black belts in life not just in training.
