Brazilian Jiu Jitsui

What Is BJJ?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport, with its main focus in grappling. In particular, it specialises in ground fighting, with joint locks and choke holds being common practice.

The system can trace its roots back to Judo and Japanese Jiu Jitsu, which was based on the idea that it's possible for a smaller person to defeat a larger assailant using good technique and leverage.

BJJ has become very popular with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters, though all ages can participate at Kyushinkai in a fun and relaxed training atmosphere.
